We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when signing up and completing your financial profile and choosing to integrate your personal banking information.
The personal information that we collect depends on the information you provide to us in requesting certain aspects of your financial portfolio. The personal information we collect can include the following:
General account information, including your email address and first name and last name; gender, date of birth; financial aspirations, including when you and your partner would like to retire; income and related information; investment and savings related information; debt information; insurance information; tax information; life insurance coverage analysis; and others.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Some information — such as IP address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Finally, we will record your sessions with the ElektraFi Certified Financial Planner that you select only if you consent to recording. This will allow you, the end user to review the conversation and help the CFP deliver on their commitments to you. This will not be shared with anyone. Please be advised that interactions may be recorded for quality assurance, training, and compliance purposes and to ensure the highest standards of service while maintaining the utmost privacy and confidentiality.
Withdrawal of Consent
Individual customers have the right to withdraw their consent for the recording of the CFP interactions at any time. However, this may impact the quality of services provided.
We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.

We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations. The only person who will have access to your financial information will be you, your partner (if you have added them as a spouse) and your Certified Financial Planner (if you chose to talk to one in person).

Service providers who perform services on our behalf, under written contracts that require them to protect your information to the same standard we do;
Government authorities when required by law, valid court order, or other legal process; and
Other parties with your consent, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, where we ensure your information remains protected.

We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless otherwise required by law.

We maintain an annual SOC 2 Type 2 attestation. SOC 2 is a voluntary standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that sets out how service organizations should manage customer data. An independent licensed CPA firm examines our controls against the AICPA Trust Services Criteria of security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy, and issues a report on how effectively those controls operated over the period under review.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure.
